The National Chung Hsing University Big Data Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was established to enhance the university's cross-disciplinary research, teaching, and academic innovation in big data technology, as well as to strengthen its cooperative relationships with industry and academia. Therefore, the National Chung Hsing University decided to establish the "National Chung Hsing University Big Data Center" at the 76th school affairs meeting in 2016, to integrate and promote teaching, research and development, promotion and service, and talent cultivation related to big data technology.

The main projects promoted by the Big Data Center are: collecting data from various industries and conducting subsequent data analysis and research. Depending on the industry: in the manufacturing industry, it can improve product productivity, strengthen machine utilization and reduce production costs; in the retail industry, it can accurately market and discover potential customer groups; in the medical service industry, it can improve medical quality and precision medicine. Or, the goal is to save manpower, reduce workload and other industries.

In terms of data talent cultivation, we actively promote industry-academia career planning. The main approach is to provide practical cases from the industry and conduct practical operations, combined with course learning, to strengthen students' practical experience and technical concepts. On the other hand, introducing AI application technology required by the industry enhances students' future employment competitiveness. These measures also provide enterprises with trained AI application talents, seamlessly connecting to the needs of the employment market, and can solve the problems of talent shortages in the industry and the predicament of students' graduation without a job.
