The National Science Council's "2022 Kiss Science - Opening Science, Youth Not Bored" event has arrived in Taichung.
The National Science Council's "2022 Kiss Science - Opening the Door to Science, Youthful and Not Bored" series of events has arrived in Taichung, and will be held on October 22 at the Huisin Hall of National Chung Hsing University. Professor Lin Junliang, Vice President of National Chung Hsing University, and his team demonstrated their excellent wisdom agriculture AI technology, with hundreds of guests in attendance.
The Kiss Science event started in 2019 and has been promoted through online and other digital platforms by the National Science Council in an effort to cultivate cross-disciplinary research talents. At the event, nine project leaders set up stalls to explain and showcase interactive technology and expert consultation services that the public can experience, and participation was enthusiastic.
The co-chairmen of the project, President Yang Mingde and R&D Director Song Zhenming, gave opening remarks stating that National Chung Hsing University has received the highest funding support from the National Science Council's "Artificial Intelligence Theme Research Project for Responding to National Important Challenges" and is implementing the SMARTer (SMART Agriculture Research and Development Center) project, with artificial intelligence technology and an agricultural big data sharing platform as its core, focusing on the development of intelligent detection, intelligent cultivation, and intelligent animal husbandry, to accelerate the digital transformation of traditional agriculture.
The SMARTer team adheres to the spirit of "guaranteeing farmers, prospering agriculture, and ecological sustainability" and is developing forward-looking IoT technology to create all-round agricultural solutions, with core values of adapting to climate change, zero carbon emissions, and sustainable energy, to assist Taiwan in achieving the goals of energy saving, carbon reduction, labor saving, and sustainability in wisdom sustainable agriculture.
